Melanie Campbell, L.Ac
Melanie Campbell, L.Ac, graduated Summa Cum Laude from AIAM’s Master’s Level Acupuncture program in 2010. Soon after graduation, she opened her own practice Fine Balance Acupuncture in Gahanna. The initial years of starting her own business were challenging but she found the more she put herself out there and spread the word on health and well-being the greater the reward. Her practice is now very busy and most of her referrals are from word of mouth. Her office offers the services of acupuncture as well as complementary medical massage.
Melanie’s dedication to learning and becoming an excellent practitioner did not stop after graduation. She continues to take continuing education classes regularly and she has a specialization in treating fertility issues. “When my husband and I wanted to conceive our first child, I struggled with conception for over a year. The emotional ups and downs were exhausting and I did everything I could to create an ideal environment in my body. I was reading and learning all I could about Western and Eastern methods to conceive. I was fortunate that we were able to conceive naturally but ever since my own struggle I knew I could help other women going through the same emotional journey,” adds Melanie. More than half of Melanie’s patients are fertility patients trying to conceive or regulate their cycles. Melanie says, “Treating fertility patients is extremely rewarding because I get to be a part of one of the most amazing journeys a woman will ever go through. I’m a shoulder to lean on and a person they can contact at any time with questions or concerns. Treating fertility issues does not provide instant gratification as you would see when treating pain issues but when conception does occur it can make my month!”
In addition to fertility, Melanie’s office sees patients with all kinds of pain issues, migraines, fibromyalgia, PTSD, anxiety and stress. Fine Balance also receives a steady flow of veterans from the local VA office.
