AIAM Alumni Spotlight: Dylan Loverich
AIAM Alumni and Licensed Acupuncturist
The road to becoming an Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, or Nurse Practitioner can be rough and rocky at times, but in the end they all lead to successful careers in servicing people for the greater good. Just over a year ago, after graduating from AIAM with a Master’s certification in Acupuncture, the hard work and endless hours of studying seemed like it was finally starting to pay off. What a great feeling it is, knowing that many people’s lives will be changed for the better due to the work that you have done and will be doing in the future!
Having the guidance of some of the best teachers that anyone could ask for in a personalized education setting that encouraged strong connections to both faculty and patients, was paramount in developing the confidence for whatever the future might bring. Personally, the future brought the chance to work at a great clinic in Beaver, PA, Free Spirit Acupuncture and Wellness Center. The clinic was founded by Shawn Kissick, former AIAM alumni, nearly ten years ago. Also on staff we have Brian (Yuhe) Zhao, another AIAM graduate with a Master’s in Acupuncture since 2016.
Working in a group practice with two other Acupuncturists and a Massage Therapist is ideal for bouncing ideas off of one another and working together synergistically to be the best practitioners we can be. Being a part of this well-rounded clinic, in a town where acupuncture was unheard of until recent years, is a great way to educate and work with people on their journeys of healing. For most people, coming to our clinic to for acupuncture or massage therapy is a great way to relax and restore one’s body, mind, and spirit.
Looking forward, I plan to one day open my own Wellness Center and continue providing
this amazing healing modality for many years to come.
